What Trainers Say

Joan Orr, co-founder of Doggone Safe - Dog Bite Prevention Through Education, has this to say after reviewing the Cyber Dog Course:

clickerpuppyleftq The course is well-organized, yet provides a high degree of flexibility for the individual student. The instructional videos are excellent and show step by step how to train each skill. The videos are short and show real training with clicker training done right. If things are not going perfectly the trainer changes her strategy to make sure the dog succeeds. The trainers in the videos, who are also the teachers of the course are all outstanding and anyone would be fortunate to be able to work with any of them. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to develop a strong bond of love and respect with their dog, who wants a well-behaved, happy dog and/or who wants to involve their kids in training the dog. rightq

dividing line

Dani Weinberg, author of Teaching People, Teaching Dogs - Insights and Ideas for Instructors, has this to say after reviewing the Cyber Dog Course:

leftq CyberDog, Home-Schooling for Hounds, is not just another online dogtraining course for pet owners. Being a student in this program is at least as good as taking your dog to the local training class - probably even better for most people. CyberDog is essentially private, in-home instruction for people and their dogs. Students have all the benefits of both individual and class instruction and guidance, with none of the disadvantages.

leftq Not many folks have access to such excellent trainers as those who designed this course and who participate dani bookactively as the teachers. All three - Helix Fairweather, Sarah Owings, and Lynn Martin - are highly skilled and broadly experienced in working with all kinds of dogs, all kinds of owners, and all kinds of dog-behavior problems. They've done everything from starting new puppies (what a joy!) to helping families whose dogs are seriously dog-aggressive. In short, they are the best of the best, and you're unlikely to find any trainers of this caliber in your local area who are willing to give you their full attention and counsel.

leftq The course provides excellent content, beginning with the fundamental mechanics of clicker training. Before I reviewed that first module, I was prepared to be bored. Ho-hum, yet another set of exercises to teach good timing. Not so! I was so caught up in the process that I actually participated in the exercises mentally (even though I've been clicker training for almost 20 years).

leftq The teaching format includes text, videos, exercises, group "classes" limited strictly in size, and all sorts of other learning tools and resources. All these elements are of technologically high quality. CyberDog is ideal for people who are too busy to sign up for a local class, not satisfied with the quality of local classes, or too far away geographically from a good class. People with "problem" dogs who would not do well in a face-to-face/snout-to-snout class will be thrilled with this program.

leftq I cannot say enough about this outstanding program. It's so good that I almost wish I had designed it!rightq

dividing line

Nan Arthur, author of Chill Out, Fido, has this to say after reviewing the Cyber Dog Course:

leftq CHILL OUT FIDO - HOW TO CALM YOUR DOGCyber Dog, Home-Schooling for Hounds, is simply brilliant. There are just no more excuses for not training a dog, as the training comes to you, in the privacy of your home and with simple and easy to follow lessons. This is a perfect way for dog owners that don’t have a positive reinforcement trainer in their area, to give their dogs the skills they would like them to have. This is also a great way for people that don’t have the means to travel, or have difficulty traveling to a dog training facility or class.

leftq The Cyber Dog, Home Schooling for Hounds, course is also an excellent solution for rescue groups to support their fostered dogs and to make them more adoptable by encouraging interaction with people and teaching the dogs needed skills to stay in their new homes.

leftq From the quality of the videos, the simplicity of each exercise and the step-by-step instructions on every section, the human on the other end of the leash will learn the skills needed to teach important foundation behaviors. Further, these behaviors are broken into areas of need so it’s almost like having a private trainer putting together lesson plans for your individual dog. For instance, for the owner with a dog that needs some self-control, they will find a module just for that. For the owner that would like to take their dog out into public and not be embarrassed, the Public Appearance module was designed for that dog and human team.

leftq Along with the easy to follow lessons, Cyber Dog clients will have on-going support from the excellent, and heralded training staff via on-line meetings, and a feedback website to support and encourage them throughout the process.

leftq Simply put, Cyber Dog was designed to teach owners how to train their dogs the things that help them to be wonderful companion animals, at an affordable price, and from the privacy of their own homes.

WHOLE DOG TRAINING - SAN DIEGO, CAleftq The trainers at Whole Dog Training are happy to recommend and support this wonderful program.rightq

Happy Training,
